Superb health and holiday resorts in and around Chiang Mai

If you fancy something a bit different in the way of accommodation in Chiang Mai, why not try one of the many resorts in the area that offer a range of different environments in which to enjoy oneself.
Not far from where we live, just outside the city, to the North on the road to Chiang Rai you'll find the Horizon Village Resort which is designed around a botanical garden and boutique hotel.

Outside the city, in the foothills you'll find some of the best resorts in Thailand. From health spas to places where you can ride elephants, a huge choice awaits. From botanical gardens to bungalows in the grounds of the Night Safari, there's something for everyone in Chiang Mai.

At Belle Villa we swam in the pool, rode elephants around the area, had some good food and drink and met some interesting people, all at a reasonable price.

Some other resorts in and around Chiang Mai

Sukantara Cascade Resort can be found just out of Mae Rim on the road to the elephant camp and various other attractions (see my amusements page). With golf, trekking, spa and massage packages and a renowned restaurant, this is a resort to be reckoned with.

Four Seasons Resort can also be found in Mae Rim and offers spa and cooking packages for those of a more sedentary nature.

Green Lake Resort is a resort and hotel complex in the city, close to Chiang Mai University. It offers spa and golfing packages and is convenient to all the city attractions of Chiang Mai.
