Mee Mee's Cafe

by Nicki McRae
(Gloucester, England)

Hom and her staff.

Hom and her staff.

My most treasured eating experience in Chiang Mai was hosted by a wonderful Burmese lady named Hom Mee Mee. Not only did Hom speak near perfect English, she also boasted a well placed cafe (just around the corner from Rim Ping supermarket near San Sai)with air conditioning and English speaking staff.

The menu was eclectic; Burmese and Thai dishes to suit any palate, as well as an assortment of English food including bacon sandwiches or omelet and chips.

The milkshakes....oh the milkshakes! From banana to green tea, they were divine! Perfect to satiate any thirst from the hot weather outside.

If visiting Chiang Mai I whole-heartedly recommend a visit to this treasured little oasis. Perhaps the author of this website can offer more precise details of its location?
