From retirement to webmaster - my story - and it could be yours...

I was 68 years young, retired and living in Chiang Mai, Thailand for 6 years. My wife Helen was 66 and also retired and we were both enjoying the good life among some good friends, entertaining family and friends who visited and generally chilling out.

I'd been messing about with computers for 20 years or so; I had made a website before, after having been asked to by a friend, who then ignored it and used someone else's, so I wasn't too keen on the process.

I just couldn't bear the thought of having to learn HTML all over again and update on Javascript one more time. It just seemed too much at my time of life, even though I knew I really should.

Then I discovered Sitesell, through another site to which I had subscribed, and all my objections melted away. They gave me a blueprint for success without using the script languages. Design, technique, marketing, all taken care of and all for a paltry sum of money.

The site you see was inspired and built with Sitesell, tweaked a bit by me and now open to the world, courtesy of Sitesell.

A couple of recommendations....

"I realized that building and putting a website was more simple in technical terms, and more challenging in marketing terms."

If I can do it, anyone can do it. Have a look at Sitesell's site and decide for your self. Click on either of the links on this page for full details.

"Site Build It! did not build my site... it did not build my business. I did. But it did help me to work smart. I picked a good theme, thanks to Site Build It!."
