I love hotels, the more stars the better.......
I just love hotels, the more stars the better.
If I was rich and famous, I'd like to live in a 5
or 6 star establishment, in the penthouse preferably, with my own lift
key.
I just love the opulent surroundings, the fabulous
service, the availability of food and drink any time of the day or
night and a host of staff at my beck and call.
Chiang Mai has a lot of high class hotels and resorts. I haven't
actually stayed in many of them, only three in fact, so I
propose to enlist the help of some of my readers
who have experience of some of them.
At the bottom of this page I ask for any story relating to your stay in
Chiang Mai and by doing so, contribute to this site.
The three hotels of which I have experience are as follows:
a.) Chiang Mai Plaza****
2 Sridonchai Road Chiangmai, Chiang Mai, Thailand.
A
super 4 star hotel in the middle of the town, close to the Night
Market. I had a really good deal here with a large rate reduction.
Recommended.
b.) Dusit Thani D2 *****
100 Chang Klan Road., Tambol Chang Klan, Amphur
Muang, Chiang Mai, Thailand. A superb modern hotel, recently rebuilt
and
in the Night Market, where all the action takes place!
c.) Belle Villa Resort
135 Moo 5, Tumbol Baanpong, Ampur Hangdong, Chiang
Mai 50230 Thailand
A mountain resort close to the city. We rode elephants here.
Have
a look at their website while you're here.
Here are a couple of hotels that I've not stayed in, but have visited
for other things, e.g. lunch.
The
Shangri-la Hotel ****
A fabulous 5 star establishment, newly built and offering every
imaginable
luxury. Highly recommended for the well-heeled!
Amari
Rincombe Hotel ****
Another superb 4 star establishment, close to Chiang Mai University and
the
ever busy Nimmanhaemin Road.
